Mr. Sherwood was a great man. He was one of my favorite teachers in school at Mt. Morris. He was my cross country coach too. He lived on the next street over from me when I was a kid. I was friends with his son Doug. May he rest in peace. May God bless your family and you will be in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to Tom's family. I was a classmate of Tom's at St. Mikes and I always remember him as a very classy, self confident and kind guy. So sorry for your loss

I will always remember Tom in two parts of my life. As a kid, he would come to my sister Sue's parties in the basement. My mother would provide Sloppy Joes. I remmeber him coming upstairs to laud my mother of her great sloppy joe's. She thought he was the best since sliced bread!. Years later when my friend Cathy fell in love, we all fell in love. What a fairy tale of love. What a gift he was and touched so many lives. To Cathy and family, I hope you know you live enveloped with his...

Very sorry to hear about Tom. Tom and I along with educators from the neighboring schools worked at the IMA Potter Lake Softball Complex as umpires during the summer months. This was in the mid 70's and 80's. I had lost track of Tom since I moved to Florida app. 25 years ago. Best wishes to his family.

Tom was a great friend and a wonderful teacher. We taught and coached together for over 25 years and remained friends after retirement. Our families had wonderful times together in Pentwater and in Pensacola Beach and I looked forward to our visits. I am so glad I got to see Tom and Cathy when they came to visit Judy on their final trip to Mi. I will cherish all of the memories of our times together. He brought out the best in everyone he came into contact with.
