Not sure what to say?

Trying to put some past relatives into perspective, I came across Grange's passing on 12/14/2019, the same day, my dear husband James of nearly 52 left this earth. Janice & Grange were at our wedding, his uncle, Frank Holmes, was his step-father. Frank's sister was his father's wife and Aunt Mildred lived with them in a separate apt. on Bennett St when James and I stopped by on our honeymoon trip to FL. The last Xmas card we received from Janice and Grange was 1996! I remember him as a very...

So sorry to be late with this. Grange was a kind and generous neighbor, and of course I was very fond of his parents, Helen and Grange, when I was growing up in the "Old Village." "Mrs. Simons house" was always a destination for me; and if I overstayed my welcome she would tell me, gently, that it was time to go home. Please know our thoughts are with the Simons family, especially all the children and grandchildren. May Grange rest in peace.

A wonderful man of kindness happiness and stories for years and years to come. Miss and love you Grange.

A Honorable man remembered for his kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness
will never be forgotten!!

Dear Janice Ann, Tip and Rovie,
So many treasured memories-too numerous to mention-all beginning in the early 1950's which became a close relationship over all these many years. What a void Grange's passing leaves. Your Dad was a wonderful man always caring and thinking of others before himself setting a fine example to be admired. We share in your grief but will smile when we reminisce.
With our love to you and your extended family,
Dana & Gretchen
P.S. Keep the Camellias...

The owners, management, and staff at Water's Edge send our deepest condolences to the family of Grange Simons. Grange was a familiar face at Water's Edge, and while the whole staff doted on him, Andrea was his favorite, and the feeling was very much mutual.
Grange seemed to compress three lifetimes into his 88 years, and his story is an impressive one.
To borrow the words of another historian, curious adventurer, world traveler, and general bada**, Theodore Roosevelt, "Absence and death...
