Trying to put some past relatives into perspective, I came across Grange's passing on 12/14/2019, the same day, my dear husband James of nearly 52 left this earth. Janice & Grange were at our wedding, his uncle, Frank Holmes, was his step-father. So sorry to be late with this. Grange was a kind and generous neighbor, and of course I was very fond of his parents, Helen and Grange, when I was growing up in the "Old Village." "Mrs. Simons house" was always a destination for me; and if I overstayed my welcome she would tell me, gently, that it was time to go home. Later, in my adult life, I became better acquainted with Grange when he moved back into the old house on Bennett Street. My daughter's wedding was held outdoors on the wonderful...

Dear Janice Ann, Tip and Rovie,
So many treasured memories-too numerous to mention-all beginning in the early 1950's which became a close relationship over all these many years. What a void Grange's passing leaves. Your Dad was a wonderful man always caring and thinking of others before himself setting a fine example to be admired. We share in your grief but will smile when we reminisce.

The owners, management, and staff at Water's Edge send our deepest condolences to the family of Grange Simons. Grange was a familiar face at Water's Edge, and while the whole staff doted on him, Andrea was his favorite, and the feeling was very much mutual.
Grange seemed to compress three lifetimes into his 88 years, and his story is an impressive one.
