Tom was a true Gentleman and an interesting person to boot. He always had a smile and a good word for everyone. He will be missed. Barbara Flick

I am listening now to the funeral service, and remembering how much my husband enjoyed chatting with Tom. It was always good to see he and Claudie during holidays and events in the kids' lives. My condolences to all of you. Pictured here is "Grandpa Tom" as my daughter Katie entered your family.

Sorry for your loss. Tom Sires was one of my favorite Professors at UNO 86-90. In his Strength of Materials class I don't know how many yard sticks he broke showing the physics of a problem. He really wanted you to understand and not just give an answer. He didn't want just cookbook engineers who could give answers without understanding if the results made sense. He was a great Professor and a good guy.

Great Math instructor. Best I ever had. The concrete canoe competition was legendary. Thanks for everything you did for me Professor Sires.
