To the kind folks of the Sisson family...

Tom was a mentor to me, particularly in the leave of absence I took from Harvard between my freshman and sophomore years. He was exceptionally kind, wise, and thoughtful... helping me to put many aspects of life, nature, and humanity into perspective. I have spoken of him often as one of a handful of people who most impacted me, yet he took such feedback with a chuckle and genuine modesty.

I was reading the Drumlin Farm newsletter this morning honoring Edie s 90th birthday when I discovered that Tom had died. Please accept my belated condolences. I have always had a special place in my heart for the Sission family who I admire for your intelligence and your love of all things natural and beautiful. Tom always greeted me with such enthusiasm and kindness every time I had the pleasure of visiting your family home on Sudbury Road. I have fond memories of...
