He was great with the students and hopefully they never forget the campout and midnight walk to the block house and Lake Michigan. He made it so enjoyable for the many years he helped out. Reading this just breaks my heart. I did my student teaching with Tom (1986); he was amazing to learn from. I have never forgotten the time we spent together. I have often wondered how he was doing; I moved to Texas, he retired and I lost touch. I know when I think of him, something he said or recall his laugh - it always makes me smile. Please accept my sincere condolences. We shall pray for peace for your family.

He was my next door neighbor growing up. Great neighbor both him and his wife. After we moved I eventually moved to Orlando and much to.my surprise 5 yrs later driving down I4 whos next me in his blue mini van but Mr Spencer lol. We stopped and talked for awhile and he went on with his vacation. I never saw him and his family again. Rest in peace.

I knew Tom from his teaching years at Orchard View Schools. He was a very respected teacher and both of my kids injoyed being in his classroom. Sincerer condolences to his family.

Mr. Spencer was my fifth grad teacher. He was hard but made school fun. I will always remember on Friday´s he would take us to the gym and play dodgeball. My condolences to his family.
