I'm so glad I got to see our D.I. and his wife Mille after 49yrs. after boot camp. Ten of us young punks from Chicago who all grew up together enlisted in the corps four of us were only 17yrs. old. Cpl. at that time and the other D.I.s gave us the direction in life we needed .Now when I mention Sgt. Stedham in my prayers at night I give him a Semper Fi. He gave his life for our country.
