Not sure what to say?

Dear Norma and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I, like many others, have incredibly fond memories of our houseboat days on Lake Powell. The sudden storms that would come up used to scare me to death, but I always new everything would be OK because Tom was in charge. He knew exactly what to do to get that big boat tied up and out of harm's way.
One attribute of Tom's that always stood out in my mind was that he always went all out in anything that he did. When he and...

Norma I remember all the good times we had square dancing with the Barn Burners and the camping trips that we were so loud and rowdy, but what fun. We are really going to miss Tom. He was one great guy,

Norma;
How well I remember Tom from the Barn Burners. One of my fondest memories is when you and He invited me to be a guest on your house boat for the Christmas boat parade in Oxnard. What a time we had. A bunch of no talent people faking playing muscal instruments while he played records of Dixie music. We must have been very good because, as I remember, we took first place.
Tom will always hold a special place in my heart for the kindness and gentleness he displayed with everyone...

Norma,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. So many years, dancing with the Barn Burners, the Pizza joint, camping at Lake Havasu Landing, camping down thru Arizona, up thru California, Lake Powell, Food Share, Birthdays, Super Bowl-- too many memories. Both you and Tom being there for me when I had a very down time in my life.
Time flies, the sun rises, and shadow fall, time goes by - Love is Forever over all.
With our Deep Sympathy
Pat and Byron

Tom was a close friend of my grandparents. We spent many summers with Tom and Norma on their houseboat. I have many great memories of Tom steering his boat across the beautiful Lake Powell. My prayers and thoughts are with the Strain family.

Tom Strain was my best friend, he was always kind and open hearted to everyone.When I learned how to ride a bike the first place I wanted to ride to was Tom's house.He came to most of our vacation trips and made them much more fun then they would of been if he wasn't there. I would tell all of my friends that he is the nicest person that this world will ever meet. When my dad and I would go to his house, even if he was really busy he would stop what ever he was doing and talk to us. When my...

Norma, my Prayers are with you and the Familly, Tom will always be remembered, he was such a dear.

My dear friend, Tom Strain, was truly a sincere, gentle and kind man, to anyone who has ever had the pleasure of touching such a special man, in his unbelievable journey in life.

The precious years I have enjoyed with this special friend, sort of like another father to me, starting from a young 'tike' to the present, and in the many events we have enjoyed together with he and his family (skin-diving, house-boating at Lake Powell and camping/water-skiing at Lake San Antonio,...

Tom taught me how to ski! I will always remember the fun we had! He was quite the square dancer too! We will miss you sweet smile and gentle way Tom! Our prayers are with you and your family. God Bless.
