Not sure what to say?

I met Tom through his participation as a board member for Consumer Counseling Northwest. When Tom spoke at board meetings the room would become so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Nobody wanted to miss a single word. He had the rare gift of being articulate without being verbose. His wisdom will be greatly missed by the Consumer Counseling Northwest communitity, both employees and board members.

Many beautiful memories of Tom & Marliss as they opened their home to us all. A person with no harsh words against anyone ever. And we, as Marliss will, find comfort in precious memories.

I had the pleasure to serve in the House of Representatives while Tom was Speaker. Even though I was in the leadership of the Democratic side I admired Tom for his honesty and his decency. As Red Skelton would say in closing his shows --"God Bless"

Tom and Marliss were an inspiration to all they met, they showed how happy and committed a couple could become. I was lucky to have met them during my first year of college. Once Tom even came to PLU as my class project on practicle politics. Tom achieved many things during his life, but I think he would be most proud of being remembered as a truly good man to all he met. The world today could surley use a lot more people with the qualities of Tom Swayze.

Tom will be missed. He was a friend to all and even though I didn't know him well (I work for his sister, Gretchen), he always made me feel special. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Just one of the best men I ever knew- always had time for young people starting in politics or interested in the law. A great loss for our community.

We loved and admired Tom for his dedication to his family, his country and specifically, our family. He was always there when you needed him. He was gracious and generous often opening his home to our entire family for events and holidays. Tom made you want to be a better person. You would never hear complaining or discouraging words from his mouth. We will miss him greatly, he brought strength and unity to our family. He will always be forever in our hearts. Our prayers are with his family....
