Thomas Sweeney October 5, 1943 - October 10, 2020 Overland Park, Kansas - Many of us are richer for having known and loved Tom Sweeney. He was a man of few words but strong in his commitment to others, many of them children. The world is truly a better place because he walked among us, always...

Not sure what to say?

Carol, my condolences. I´m living in OPKS now and would love to give you a hug.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear about Tom. I always enjoyed chatting with Tom. I only regret we didn't have enough of them. Please know that Linda and I are here for you for any help you might need.

My mom and his mom were closest of friends
that began the beginning of our friendship.
Tom was the quiet and true friend in all of his relationships.
We shared many good times and many successes.
My life is full remembering those great times together.
We cannot recreate them, but we cherish the memory.
You are in our prayers, Love to all, Pat O'Shaughnessy

It has been said we never have friends like the ones we have when we were 12 years old and when one of them passes on a little bit of us goes with them. The only solace we can take is knowing the example of a life well lived will echo through the generations to come. The dividends will be paid to the children, grandchildren and generations to come. The world needs more Tom Sweeney’s. Mike Onofrio

It has been said we never have friends in life like the ones we had when we were 12 years old. When one of these friends passes on a little bit of us dies. The only solace we can take is to know a life well lived and the example it gave us all will ripple down through many generations to come. The dividends will be paid in full to the children, grandchildren and the many descendants to come. The world needs more Tom Sweeney’s.

I remember Mr. Sweeney always having a smile on this face. His support and pride in his children was evident, and his joy and amusement with Nora’s antics was clearly shown by his loving grin. He was such a good, kind man and will be missed. Sending love and healing thoughts to the family.

I have probably known Carol and Tom for about 58 years. Both have been very special to me always as they have to so many. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. It doesn't seem possible that he is gone so soon and he will be missed. He was always so cheerful, helpful, smart, such a family man and had so much common sense. Rest in peace, Tom, you deserve it. God bless to you and your family.
