Not sure what to say?

Remember Tom's interaction as my mother,Roberta Robinson, worked to establish and foster the growth of the River Grove library.

I never knew until I came to live in River Grove that Mayors like Tom really existed. I thought they existed only in happy movies. He was a great mayor and a great example for many people including myself. He will be remembered for many, many years to come. Hopefully our future leaders will lead as he did...with compassion, kindness and love. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tarpey family.

I grew up with Tom mand he and I were best friends from Grade 1 thru our freshman year at Fenwick H.S.I guess Tomhad gotten "last tag" on me,A game we carried on for years until my family moved to Worth, Il.So long Tom, so long, the lastof childhood.

Dear Shawn, John, Tom and Chrissy

I was very saddened to hear of the death of your father, Tom was a great friend and a co-worker. My heart goes out to you and your families. Tom was a great man, a great mayor, and of course a great father and the best father for the Village of River Grove. As you know I had the sincere pleasure of working with Tom for many years until i retired from the police department and will never forget those moments and stories he told to us. I will...

Deepest condolences to the Tarpey Family. Tom gave true meaning to the term "Friendly Neighbors". He had a smile and friendly word for everyone he met. He will be missed.

Our condolences to the Tarpey family. Tom was a neighbor when he lived on Bird St years ago. It didn't take us long to recognize a pleasant man and family being our neighbors. It was such a pleasure to see him last time when he stopped to say hello. One of his tradmarks taking time to say hi! He'll surely be missed. Great Man!

We give you are condolence at the loss of your father and relative.
