Thomas “Tim” C. Tatarian, 89, Attleboro, passed away on May 3, 2010, surrounded by his family, after an eight year battle with Guillain-Barre. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Stonefield) Tatarian.

Born in Providence on December 6, 1920, he was a son of the late Garabed and Mary Tatarian of Harpoot, Turkey Armenia.

Tim was a graduate of Bryant and Stratton Business School. A lifelong resident of Attleboro, he was a well known and liked, successful area businessman. He owned and operated Tim Tatarian Real Estate, which had multiple offices in Massachusetts and Florida and sold over 12,000 homes in the 50 years he was involved with real estate. He was` co-owner of Kelley & Tatarian Insurance, the Pepper Pot Restaurant in Taunton, and the Wading River Golf Club from 1971 -2001. He was a member of BPOE Attleboro Lodge for 61 years, the Moose Club for 60 years, American Legion and VFW. He served his country proudly as a Quartermaster in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Tim enjoyed watching greyhound racing. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and friend.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Tim is survived by his former wife Virginia (Hearn) Tatarian of Rehoboth, his children; Karen Tatarian of Attleboro, Gayle Gallup of Chatham, Charles Tatarian of Florida, Sherri Savoy of Rehoboth, Sean Brumble of Mansfield, and Paul Stonefield of Providence. Tim is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Michael, Peter, Margaret, Mary, Victoria, and Helen.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM in the Second Congregational Church, 50 Park Street, Attleboro, officiated by Rev. F. Vernon Wright, Pastor. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro on Thursday, 4-8 PM. I am so sorry for your lost, the last time I saw Tim was at Wading River many years ago. He and Karen didn't always agree but you knew they were Father and Daughter. I spent many a day at the Club, some of the happiest times of my life were spent there. Peace be with you Tim. Jeanne Burow
