I worked for Mr. Thagard for 8 years. I don't know if you remember me (I left him to have a baby) in 1993. He was and still to this day was the best man I have ever worked for. Phil and I actually came to the lakehouse with our daughter Jordan after I left. Have such fond memories of all of the Thagard family!

Mr. T was my sounding board at B&B and I was always touched by his love for and grief for his dog when it died. I have kept in touch with Rhett since he had to retire but lost her e-mail a few months ago when my computer crashed. All of us as members of the "old guard" at B&B loved and respected Mr. T. I am thankful that he is at peace.

Tommy Thagard, Jr. was a class act -- a gentleman, family man, scholar, and wonderful raconteur. His honesty was legendary, and his friendship to those who knew him will be treasured and never forgotten. The manner in which he practiced law should be a model for future generations. He will be missed, but remembered always. My condolences and best wishes to Rhett, Betsy, Tom-III, and Beverly.
