Tom, but he was my second cousin (my father Tom and Mick are first cousins), and I am very sorry to say that I did not know him. We are the same age and even shared time at U.D. I wish I had known him, and I am so saddened to hear of this tragic loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It sounds like he was full of life and love, and the world is better for him having been in it.

My heart is broken, I cannot accept this. Tom never met a stranger and I know this because they stop and ask me about him. After the dreaded phone calls I had to make; friends from coast to coast are praying for him and his loving family. He meant more to so many that I hope he realizes how much his life, his actions and his words meant to others. Every time I hear a Pearl Jam song I hear his excitement, knowledge and experiences of sharing times with his favorite people. He could bring life...

If you were friends with Tom Thiel it meant that he would do anything in the world for you! Tommy was nothing but great to me and my family and that is how I will always remember him! Our prayers are with the Thiel's in this most trying time.
