Toale Brothers Funeral Home- Gulf Gate Chapel Obituary

Thomas Virgil Thole Sr., 88, of Cincinnati, OH passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017.

Tom is survived by wife of 53 years Julia; son Thomas Thole Jr. of York PA (Lori) and daughter Lynda Hannan of Cincinnati OH (John) and six grandchildren Tom, Carey, and Christian Thole, and Jack, Katie and Kellie Hannan.

He was brother to Mary Murray and the late Barbara Bradford and Claire Rebel and had many nieces and nephews.

Tom graduated from Colerain High School and was self-employed as a manufacturer's representative. He used his technical skills to patent two components for the television industry. In later life he developed and marketed a drop foot support that assists many people today. After retirement he became a passionate golfer and enjoyed his many friendships in Cincinnati and Siesta Key Florida.

We are grateful for the wonderful care and support provided by Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota.

A mass will be held Saturday, February 4 at 10 am at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 3565 Hubble Road, Cincinnati OH 45247.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's honor may be made to St. James the Greater Catholic Church or St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5394 Midnight Pass Rd, Sarasota FL 34242.

Sorry for your loss.

Our thought and prayers are with you Julia and family. We are also in Fla.

As great friend of the family and neighbor for many years - always welcoming and great fun at the house growing up. And the father-son fishing trips together are cherished memories! Mr. Thole will be missed - Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Thole, Tom and Lynda.

With love,
Mark

Tom was one of the gracious people that
God made now Tom is united with his maker, he will be missed . Our prayers are with his family.

Tom will be missed at future Hannan family gatherings. He was old school, had a great sense of humor and loved his family. My prayers are with Julia and the family.

Tom was a truly nice guy. He always listened and contributed whatever he believed to be relevant. A rare guy.
