With loving family and friends all around, Thomas John McGinn passed peacefully in the early hours of Monday morning at his home in Wauwatosa. He was 68.
Tom?s dedication to family and faith will be his most lasting memory, reflected by 40 years of marital bliss with wife, Diane. Their daughters, Laura and Lisa, were his pride and joy, and he loved spending time at the McGinn/Foley farm with friends and family. Nothing brought him more happiness than pulling a red wagon occupied by his two beautiful granddaughters, Abigail and Cora.
Tom also loved a good joke, especially if it involved gag gifts around the holidays, Irish kilts, or playfully teasing his future sons in law. Anyone who met him will forever remember his smart wit and deep, indelible laugh.
Tom was a graduate of Marquette University High School, Boston College, and the University of Michigan Law School. As an attorney at Miller, McGinn and Clark, he was devoted to his clients and colleagues.
Tom is survived by his wife, Diane, daughters, Laura (Jeff Davidson) and Lisa (Jason Sumner), granddaughters, Abigail Davidson and Cora Sumner, sister, Mary Lee, brothers, Michael (Kathy), David (Patricia), Robert (Janet), Richard ?Slim? (Jane Fox), and the rest of the expansive McGinn, Griewank, and Foley families. He was much loved and will be dearly missed.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 5th, at Saint Jude the Apostle Parish, 734 Glenview Avenue, Wauwatosa. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in his name can be made to Froedtert Clinical Cancer Center and Aquinas Academy.
