Not sure what to say?

I cannot believe I didn't find out about Tom Tudor's passing until nearly 2 years later! Mr. Tudor was our 6 th grade teacher back at Southdale, and he was certainly not a person one would ever forget! He told my friend and I, when we were getting on his nerves, as 6th grade girls have a tendency to do, that when we got to junior high, we probably wouldn't even be friends anymore. Well, it's 44 years later, and we're still friends. We would visit him occasionally, just to continue getting on...

I was saddened to hear about Mr. Tudor passing last year. I was in his first-6th grade class. He was my favorite teacher and will be remembered as such a kind man.

Mr. Tudor was the Headmaster at Hillel Academy where my children attended school. He was an exceptional individual who cared deeply about children and helping them get the best education possible. He was smart, funny and kind. His love for his wife and family was a wonderful example to the children as well. It was a honor to know him. To his family...may happy memories strengthen you. Know you are in our prayers.

Mr. Tudor was one of those rare teachers who had a genuine interest in his students as young people and wanted to spark their curiosity. I remember clearly when he read the Hobbit to us over a period of weeks, which captured our imagination. He also used to bring his guitar into class and sing for us. One day, he sang Rocky Raccoon, which also sparked a lifelong love for the Beatles. Luckily, I had a chance a few years later to visit him at Southdale and let me know how much impact he had....

I was also a student of his first class at Southdale. He made every effort to make connections with each of his students. He took me to a Dayton Gems hockey game one evening possibly because he sensed I wasn't doing very well.
One day he got out his guitar and we created a song together as a class. I appreciated him very much.

I am shocked and so saddened by this news of Tom’s passing. I worked with Tom as his classroom aide the first few years they started the program back in 1979. What a special, fun time that was! Sixth grade at Southdale School! Trips to Camp Kern, archeological digs...what a creative, special teacher Tom was. He definitely found his calling in his teaching profession! He brought so much love and energy and laughter with him when he entered a room. Tom Tudor, you will never be forgotten....

He was my sixth grade teacher at Southdale. He made learning fun and always supported his students like no other teacher. Prayers for his family.

Mr. Tudor was my all-time favorite teacher, hands down. One of the main things he did for me was instill a sense of confidence and worth. He always told me I was smart and by the end of the year, I believed it! What a gift to give a young person. RIP.

I was in Mr. Tudor's first class at Southdale. He was always my favorite teacher of all times. My heart goes out to his family.
