Not sure what to say?

Tommy and I used to run around the dining table, and laugh until we cried. What a funny guy. He was very special, and I thought he was wonderful. I am sorry I just looked this up. Bless everyone for their loss of Tom. Faye Welch, 1965 S Street, SE, DC.

Tom was the wittiest, kindest of friends. To wit: When my son was born in 1967, they wouldn't let him into the hospital in Bermuda shorts (!). And so he took the elevator down to a lower floor, and returned some minutes later wearing a doctor's lab coat! We asked no questions - that was just Tom. And his kindnesses to me over the years have brightened many a day. His memory has left footprints on my heart. Rest well, dear friend.

Tom's ashes were taken to sea from Norfolk, VA on the USS Mitscher on September 15, 2006. Friends gathered from Canada, Denver, Chicago, Washington,DC, Richmond and Norfolk to bid our friend a fond farewell.
Tom will be missed by all who knew him, laughed with him, and loved him.

Tom,
What a wonderful friend. Tom has been a part of my life since i was rwelve. There ar so many memories of sledding, summers at the pool and my favoite, dancing. I had the dubious honor of being tom's senior prom date. He also was a navy man as my husband and son so he shared many sea stories with them. The last few yers i spent visiting tom in chicago and being trounced at scrabble will always be a warm memory. I will miss him every day.

My cousin Tom was more like a brother to me, as his family spent almost every weekend at our house when we were growing up. I also spent many happy weeks at Aunt Ethel's on S Street. Tom and my sister, Audrey, were the same age and the best of friends. I was eight years younger and loved to be with the teens and all the action. There was always "action" when Tom was around. When the others tried to send me away, Tom would jitterbug with me, throwing me in the air and the sliding me under his...

Tom was a close part of our family, godfather to Jenny and Betsy, and one of our grandchildren is named for Tom. He was a close friend of my sister, Sue Bowman Kayser, and best friend of Dave Herren. It is a great tragedy for our family to have lost both Tom and Dave within months of each other. We are glad they no longer suffer, and are probably playing jokes on each other in a Paradise that probably looks like Hawaii.

Thomas Tuell was one of the greatest friends we have ever had. His sense of humor was only paralled by his compassion in times of need. He will forever be a part of our family and will live on through our fond memories.

It has been a long time since Tom left Merrill Lynch. I am glad I had the chance to know him. He was one of nicest and funniest collegues to work with. I have thought of him often and would get updates from mutual friends. It must not have been easy for him the last several years. He is at peace now .I will never forget this lovely man.

"S" Street and the surrounding neighborhood - was there ever more fun?? I'm so glad I grew up in DC and had the pleasure of Tom's Company. I so often think of the gang that went to the Buckley Club and the laughs we had. Tom, your Mohawk hairdo will last forever in my mind...you're in a better place now - say "hi" to my Mom, she loved you!
