Throughout my life, Uncle Tom has been my touchstone. Whenever I lost my way, felt alone or sad, needed some love that I probably didn't deserve, or when I just needed to be heard, Uncle Tom, my godfather, was right there. His capacity to love and understand is limitless. I have such wonderful memories of him, from singing "our" song over the phone to visiting him in recent years.
