Mother's Day, May 8, 2011 - Susie Valentine visiting her brother Thomas

My best wishes to the Valentine family...

I met Susie today at Arlington Cemetery at Thomas' gravesite. Her tears and sadness touched my heart and I will never forget her smile when she spoke of her beloved brother that she misses so much. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will continue to pray for your family, and visit his gravesite often.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Senior Chief. Thank you for being a perfect example of strength, discipline, love, kindness, loyalty, commitment and courage. I'll never fully understand why the Lord works the way he does, but I'm forever grateful He sends men like you to watch my back and make the world a better place. It's 12:09AM PDT here in Orange County, CA, as I toast your life and smile, knowing you're being rewarded greatly for the man you were. A heavenly Hooyah to ya, Chief. Thanks...
