I first met Tom around 1970,worked with him in the 1973-74 timeframe and continued to be friendly with him for another decade until I moved away from the area.
Although I was not in contact with him for many years, he remained in my fond memory and I thought of him often.
He was a smart person, had a spirited and engaging personality and was very, very amusing.
It's most sad that he left us so soon.

Today I heard the bad news that my friend Tommy has died. We became friends in 8th grade and although we have been separated for many years, remains in my memory an important part of this life.
Grief is not unwelcome for it reminds me of how much we have lost and how fortunate I had so much to lose
