Hello, my dear Lynda and family; Anita and I have been with you these years as you and TJ grew that wonderful family. You know intimately that I consider myself part of the "memorable crew" of Cambridge/Boston Afro-Americans coming of age in the 1970's. TJV & Plemon, what a true team of great character, wisdom and courage. I know the sunshine of your life continues with great hope for tomorrow, 'cause TJ would want no other way...! My words herein are meant to convey and affirm my recognition...

To Aunt Eva,Kenny and Lynda,

May your hearts be filled with the loving memories and the good times you had together as a family, I know we all have our favorite stories when y'all made your annual trip to Oklahoma and about our wonderful cousin we call TJ.
Love always, hugs and kisses, Cousin Junie

Greetings TJ, Lynda, Tom, Mikelle, Asha and grandchildren…

I had the pleasure of meeting Thomas TJ Vassar & Lynda Hughes Vassar in 1970 in Cambridge Massachusetts. As is in most instances after finishing our schooling in the Cambridge//Boston metropolitan area, we returned...

Dear Lynda and family... I used to work w/TJ many years ago in the Desegreation/Integration program w/Rosco Bass, I was so sorry to hear the sad news about TJ's illness and passing. The world has lost such a beautiful soul. My most sincerest sympathy to you and your family.

TJ I will truly miss you. The courage you displayed in life is a legacy of ispiration to all who met you. Your devotion and love for the Brackeen clan will not be forgotten. Lynda, you were truly his love and it always show. I will not forget how he encouraged my grandsons regarding not only with their basketball but also to pursue an education first and to follow a pattern of integrity. This advice was given at the last reunion. To lose someone as fantastic as you is hard but to remember...
