Not sure what to say?

So just reading this as a letter was returned to me that I sent. He was an amazing pastor, spiritual leader, and a gentle soul. He taught me so much.

Father Vesbit was a true scholar and a kind and gentle soul and kind and accepting of all. He served as pastor of St. Stephen from June 1985-July 1995. He was also an avid reader and frequented the East Grand Rapids branch of the Kent District Library. I shall miss him.

Rest in pease Father Tom Vesbit, I have many great memories of our cousins the Vesbit boys, Steve, Tom, and John and fun times at uncle Walt´s cottage, Father Tom always kept and eye on my parents Peggy and Jerry Strahan and made them feel special during his time at their parish St Stephen´s he was a wonderful cousin, man and priest. Sincerely Jerry and Karen Strahan and families.

John and Sandy, sorry to hear of Father Tom´s passing. Sending hugs and prayers, Michalene

I had the pleasure of attending St James Church in GR and was inspired by his sermons. His message included history, humor and the message of the scriptures. He was a messenger that taught others without deep theological concepts. God Bless You in your new life.

My sister Carol was Fr. Tom´s housekeeper for a number of years. I remember sharing a few meals and a lot of laughter when I was invited to dinner. He was a wonderful priest and friend to our family.

We were just talking about Father Tom tonight. My mom (Carol Engel) was his housekeeper and friend for many years. We felt like he was a part of our family. He will be so deeply missed. He was such a bright, witty, kind soul. Sending blessings to his friends and family. Theresa and Debbie Nash- (daughters of Carol Ann).

My deepest condolescences to Father V's family. He was someone I looked up to. This picture was taken of us in the early 1980's at Holy Name of Jesus.

Father Tom was my first boss at St. Stephen. He was always involved with the school and made sure he did his best to relate with the students. I have only fond memories of chatting with him at staff parties or school events. Rest In Peace Father Tom!
