Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to learn, belatedly, of Tom´s passing. We were interns together at Metro and shared an on-call room where we rarely were able to sleep since we were usually up all night working when we were on call. He was a brilliant physician and a delightful human being.

My deepest condolences to the Vrobel Family. I had the pleasure of working with Tom (that's how he wanted me to address him). It took a while before I could stop calling him Dr. Vrobel. He was kind, generous with his time, down to earth. I learned a lot, working in the Cath Lab with him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Tom was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face. He was also an excellent clinician and was a pleasure to work with during his many years at Metro. Sincere condolences to his family on his passing.

A kind and thoughtful colleague. Much sympathy to the family.

Dr. Vrobel was an incredibly gifted, kind, and humble man who (along with Mrs. Vrobel) always treated me and Ivo like we were every bit as much a part of his family as my sister and her family. It felt like when Patrick married my sister, the Vrobel family just took all of us in as well. We were always welcome at their home and enjoyed many Super Bowls, Sunday dinners, and other gatherings there. It was such a joy to watch him be the best grandpa to his grandchildren. I always loved hearing...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

The Crowe family have fond memories of Tom as a colleague at MetroHealth and also as part of the Vrobel family adventures in camping and spending time at the Lake House. He was such an amazing person.

What a great man....he was massively impactful to my training as a cardiologist 2004-2007. He was everything I wanted to be as a physician- skilled, calm under pressure, humble, empathetic...he consistently lead by example and you always felt safe with him as a cardiology fellow- you just knew- it was instant trust and respect. The world lost a great human...heaven gained a bright light. We are all who we have become because we have stood on the shoulders of giants- he was one of the...

What a wonderful friend, teacher, mentor and inspiration to many. He will be missed.
