Not sure what to say?

Tom and I were roommates at Oklahoma State University for the first semester of 1959, before he received his baseball scholarship to OU. I was able to go home with him to Madill and meet his family and they were great to me. Tom was a great guy and I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch, May he RIP.

My prayers are with the Walton family, one of the most influential men I have had in my life, carried what I learned from coach into manhood, it seems as though all the elder warriors are leaving us, but we will meet again coach we love you.

Loved listening to your stories in the break room. You are in our hearts.

"Johnny Bench". The man always called me Johnny Bench. Loved him for that.

As a 15 year old high school sophomore, Coach Walton had the confidence to assign me a starting role on the best defensive football team in the state of Texas in 1989. The opportunity that Coach Walton provided me developed a tenacious attitude that carried over into my better sport, baseball, which he also loved, where the fight he ingrained during football propelled me to get the most out of my baseball...

Pat and family, I just heard about Tom, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember all the fun times we had camping and all the ball games we went to. He was a lot of fun, a great baseball player and a great guy.

What a special man! He will be missed by so many former students who attended GPHS. Condolences to the entire Walton family.

Billy and I send our love and blessings to the family. Grace and Jimmy always loved Tom and Pat. Rest In Peace Coach.

Oakview will not be the same without him.

Tom and I were team mates on baseball and football teams at MHS back in 1957/58... Also played summer ball all around Oklahoma in the summer of 57... Tom pitching and me catching him... What a great Summer working with a great Athlete and good friend... My sincerest condolences to his loved ones and friends... RIP Tommy...!!!
