Thomas J. Waters, 84, of Pen Argyl, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Whitehall Manor. Born: In Effort, PA on March 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Catherine E. (Wagner) Waters. Personal: He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Dungan) Waters, who passed away, July 12, 1997. Tom was a mechanic and part owner of both, Fiorot Trucking and Blue Valley Trucks, Sales and Service. He was a 1946 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and a veteran of the US Army. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and he and his family enjoyed camping. Memberships: He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl. Survivors: He is survived by three daughters, Catherine A. Moore and her husband Thomas C. of Wind Gap, Patricia A. Miller and her husband Thomas J. of Pen Argyl, and Karen E. McHale and her husband Robert J. of Northampton; seven grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Nichols of Wind Gap, and Marilyn Smith of Pine Grove, and a sister in law, Eleanore Waters of Mt. Bethel. In addition to his wife Dorothy, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William Omlor, James and Joseph Waters. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Ave., Pen Argyl. There will be viewing hours, Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, http://www.ruggierofuneralhome.com/ www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl, and Monday from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m., at the church. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl. So sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He was such a nice person and like his brother Jim was a lot of fun. They were quite the pair. We miss his stop ins when he was on his way to Naples. He will be missed. God Bless.
