I am so sorry for your loss. I know the family well as I grew up with his sons at St Luke´s UMC in Hickory NC. We had many get togethers and spent many hours at the church serving. One of my greatest memories of Tom was when we played softball together on the church team. He would always be willing to coach me into a better player and he always coached me as well as the others to be a better player for God and the kingdom.
