Fortuna Funeral Home - Independence Obituary

Thomas A. Weardon, “Spark” Age 78. Devoted husband of Dolores (nee Cerrito). Most caring, supportive and loving father of Kathleen Salvatore (Alan) and Thomas J. Weardon.  Special grandfather of his “dancing girl” Gianna Salvatore.

Dear brother of Charlotte Hutchings (Jerry, dec) and Caring Brother-in-law of  “his Nurse” JoAnn Cerrito.

Son of the late Thomas Weardon and Martha Cheich.

Anyone who was lucky enough to have known our Dad knows what a kind hearted, caring, awesome man he was. He always put his family and friends first. He gave the best advice & always listened to whatever it was we needed to talk about. There isn’t enough space here to say everything but if you knew him you know exactly what we are talking about. We will miss him more then he will ever know.

There is no more pain, suffering and unanswered questions. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace Dad...

Love Always & Forever,
Dolores, Kathy & Tom (Barney) ️

I’m sorry for the loss of my uncle tommy he will always be truly missed the fun times we had I enjoyed every bit of it.I love you uncle tommy

Tommy we will miss you. As a little kid you were always my big, cool cousin! My dad would take me to visit your mom at least twice a week. I always ended up in the basement playing with your trains and dreaming. There was always a car engine sitting on a table that you were working on. As a small kid I thought it was so cool! You will be missed. Dolores, Tom, Kathy & Al and Gianna - You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are very sad that we cannot be there to grieve and celebrate...

Tom was a prince of a man. I knew him well back in the from the 80s until I retired from Ford in 2004. He was such a calming influence as a steward. I admired his people skills and his integrity. I feel I wasted what could have been a lifelong friendship by not keeping in touch after my retirement... my loss. Rest in peace Tom.

At the Ford Plant Tom was well liked and respected as a conscientious and hard worker by supervisors and fellow workers. He was a good man (sorry I cannot see him off because of the Covid situation).

I'm sorry for the loss of my uncle Tommy , I will miss the times he and Dolores visited us and he always wanted to good to the Shrimp shack for dinner , Good times that will be missed but forever not forgotten . R.I.P uncle Tommy you will be deeply missed.
