To all the Weller family. Linda and I send our sincere condolences to you on your loss. We were saddened to learn of his passing. I was most fortunate to have seen Tom at the Countway Library meeting at which he discussed his recent book and to have reminisced with him. I will always carry with me the model of integrity, intellectual curiosity and plain hard work he exhibited from the very first day of my fellowship in his laboratory and value the friendship and support that he extended...

As one of many trainees whose lives were transformed by Tom Weller, I would like to emphasize how grateful I and others are for the lifetime of opportunity that he opened for us and for the overseas colleagues with whom we have been privileged to share his dedication,his skill and his enthusiasm.

To the Weller family, please accept our sincerest condolences for the loss of your loving father. I met him one time and it was one of the fondest of memories. Most people want to meet movies stars and sport figures but not Peg and I. We were delighted to meet someone who was so caring and loving and saved hundred of thousand of lives, He was my hero!!
