Thomas Whitehead

Tom was a very special man. Always gracious and loving to all who were lucky enough to have had know him. As members of Lake Oswego Methodist Church, my husband and I were very fond of him. My thoughts are with Bev and the famliy.

I knew Reverend Whitehead through the UMC camping program. He was delightful, upbeat, insightful, and as a young camper I admired him very much. That led me to being a camp counselor at Camp Magruder for many years.

I was fortunate to be a devoted member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in the 60's and 70's. The congregation was young and thriving because of Reverend Tom. I will always treasure those wonderful years. It was a great time of growth for me as a young mother and wife. The church was a major part of my life then. I sang in the choir, played a role in the Women's Group and as a counselor at Camp Magruder.

Tom was my favorite minister in the world. I was fortunate to attend St. Paul's Methodist Church in Milwaukie during the 60's and 70's. It was a wonderful thriving congregation with many of us young couples active in the Women's Group, Camp Magruder, the choir and many other activities., thanks to Reverend Tom! Tom was my pastor in Portland for several years. I was among the lay leadership during a particularly difficult period of his time. Tom was gracious, honest and unwavering in his truth. I admired his integrity and respected his ministry very much. Love to Bev and the family. Jeanie B
