I want to give Tom's family my condolences on their loss. I knew Tom from Owensboro, Kentucky. I grew up in Owensboro half a block from the YMCA. I spent a lot of time there and really admired Tom's dad Frank Weiting. Tom was older and was a councilor to the younger boys at the Y. In college I saw him walking across Harvard Yard and had a chance to talk to him about him and his family. I later bumped into him at Reed while attending a Moliere play.
