Not sure what to say?

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned of Tom's death. We worked closely together over the past three years as local chapter treasurers of our respective professional organizations, ASM and TMS, which held joint monthly dinner meetings. Tom was always very helpful, cooperative, compassionate, and a true gentleman. I will sorely miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I knew him mostly by association with TMS and was always struck by his energy, enthusiasm and can-do attitude. I will surely miss him at upcoming meetings and my sincerest condolences to his family.

I worked with Tom as Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chair of the Boston Chapter of ASM (a professional society), which had many joint meetings with TMS (his primary professional society). We benefited from his commitment and devotion to TMS. I also enjoyed his wry humor, feel the loss and wish I had gotten to know him better.

I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing. We sat together at the last ASM/TMS meeting and had a most interesting conversation. Tom contributed greatly to TMS.

My deepest condolences on the passing of my friend and colleague Tom Wilder. It was so sudden and hard to believe. The Boston Section of TMS will miss him very much.

My condolences on the passing of a dear friend and respected colleague. Our ASM meetings will not be the same without him.

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Through his efforts, he kept the Boston TMS Chapter functioning. We will miss his gentle presence at our meetings. My deepest condolences to his entire family.

Very saddened by the unexpected loss of a classmate from long ago and a very good friend.

Tom set a wonderful example of responsibility and devotion to the continued successful operation of the AIME local chapter. He was at the reception table at the last joint meeting in January at the MIT Faculty Club continuing his longtime support by discharging...
