I met Tom 16 years ago, when Matthew Bren--my husband-- introduced us. I think what hurts more than his sudden and unexpected passing was the loss of time and opportunity for get-togethers that I was hoping there would be more of when things settled down-- after COVID made it virtually impossible, and other changes to daily schedules that made it a challenge to just drive out and meet with him and the whole Henkel gang for something. Sending condolences to the Wilmer and Stover family <3 I never got to meet Tom as we are newer cabin owners on Island Lake, but none-the-less am extremely saddened by this news. They were always cruising by on the pontoon with their dog, a smile and a wave. May his friends and family see him in all beautiful things.

Tom was the kind of guy who could fix anything, cook anything, and talk to anybody. He was funny, kind, and made each person he was spending time with feel the center of his attention. We always looked forward to being able to see Tom and Julie at the cabin or other family gathering. He was a wonderful uncle and will be so incredibly missed.

Uncle Tom will forever be one of my all time favorites! He loved his wife Julie with all of his heart! He was an avid fisherman, chef, Mr. Fix it, and a great Uncle to my boys! Sending buckets of love to you Julie!
