Not sure what to say?

I met Tom when he first arrived in Cape Town and we stayed in the same small university accommodation (Linkoping). Tom was kind and compassionate and a very inspiring teacher. I particularly admired the way in which he carefully prepared handouts for his students at a time when personal computers were still a few years away. I do still find myself thinking of Tom's kindness when I am preparing materials for my students.

Tom and I went to high school together. I got to know him a bit, mostly because we chatted about how great Fr. Lawrence Ober’s class was. Tom’s brilliance was evident to all. Thomas your loss is deeply felt by so many, I've already heard from 2 of our classmates from St. Ignatius - you and your family are in our prayers. AMDG, jtf

So sorry for your loss. From an early age Tom was a champion of mankind. One of his favorite references for interpretation was The Velveteen Rabbit, and in hindsight, a sign of his understanding: "when we are truly ourselves and truly loved we become genuine and real. ... Longing to be real and to have someone who loves me unconditionally no matter what." God bless, Mr. Buzzelli

Laura, I pray for peace for you and all your family.

Tom was a true friend. Caring, compassionate, dedicated to all. Reunions will not be the same without his laugh and his smile and his awesome hugs. Condolences to his family and friends.
