Tom's mother was my aunt. She and Fred Woltksmp were always kind and caring to the 3 Rooney's. Tom was just like his parents. Kind and caring and fun. He will be very missed.

Cousin Tom! What a kind man. Drove my young ones back to their Kansas roots. He and Fred welcomed us late at night. Stayed up talking til wee hours. Pointed us to our hotel, then was back early in the same morning to show us to my old address. Shared a passion for KU. A few years later came to AZ for my uncle´s services, spent (literally) some quality time at the casino before his plane. Several phone conversations since then. Quality man every time. Wish we lived closer. The earth lost one...

I first met Tom thru Mike Mccollough and they had a great Ku KSU rivalry going on but man Toms face when he figured out he had been driving around town for couple days with a KSU tag on the front of his truck was Priceless... My sympathy to the family and may you find comfort in your memories

A true gentleman! Met Tom in the early 80's, always appreciated his friendship in those days.
