I met David in the 4th grade at Hemenway School when my family moved to Wilmington, NC and we lived one block apart on Princess Street. We were friends and classmates all the way thru to high school. His Dad had passed by the time I met him, and his Mother, a trained nurse, kept a good eye on all us kids.
