Today is a sad day for me, as I just got this. Tom was a "take the high road" character leader in the Fresh Kills landfill. He took a small corner area in his building and made it into a breakfast club of sorts. On any morning, you could walk in and get a cup of coffee and a roll or pastry for a small cost, he put his full effort in this.
