Lynn and Garry first met the Wrights in Maui some 15 years ago and as I was a avid golfer Tom was a perfect fit for our group. I was a 13 handicap then and Tom was somewhere around 23. He was determined to beat me on the long drives and tried his best to better me at all times. He bought new drivers, got used ones from Owen and nothing worked. I told Tom at his age it was not a concern how far he hit the ball, but the idea of golf was friendship among our friends. I will miss Tom very much and will think of him every time I tee up the ball in Maui. He was truly one of a kind.

When Tom and Barbara moved into our condo in Des Moines, the fun began! Summertime around the pool was all about cocktails and conversation - you would think we were on holiday in Palm Springs, Cabo or Maui! They soon became a total asset to our community, and I will miss you, Tom. Not to worry - we will take good care of your sweet Barbara.

I became friends with Tom in 1966 and we have been best pals every since. Barbara is such wonderful lady. She, Tom, Carol and I got to be a regular lunch group.
They lived in West Seattle and we lived in Bonney Lake. We could expect to get call at tax time to have lunch. They had their taxes done it Tacoma so we would meet them on the Tacoma water front.
I will always be thanking him for introducing me to my wife.
God bless this wonderful man and I am so blessed for having him part of my life.

Barbara and family, Dorothy and I are
saddened by Tom's death and the loss
by you of his love and affection. I enjoyed those opportunities I had to play golf with Tom and Dorothy her long time
friendship with Tom as a graduate of West Seattle High and Fauntleroy resident. We
hope the very best for each of you.

Tom was truly one of nicest guys I've known. When he first came to work in our group at Boeing Support Service I was single. Tom was determine to 'fix me up' with somebody. He let me know that Freddy Couples was getting a divorce. And, while Freddy was very cute, he was too young. And so, when Dee Wolsey was transferred to our division Tom had a better idea. Dee would be a good match. Dee and I did begin to date and the following year when we came back from Christmas break, Tom was in my office early and his eyes were fixed on my ring finger, left hand. No ring. He was disappointed. He told me he had made a bet with Clint that Dee would be giving me an engagement ring for Christmas and now, darn, he had lost the bet. I'm going to miss him a lot. He was one of the good ones.
