Read MoreI moved to Chico in October of 2016. I felt a strong bond to Tom when his family would bring him in for blood tests. Even thought he was u able to speak I could converse with him through expressions and laughter. He had a warm heart and soul. One day he came in and gave me one of his paintings which I wake up to everyday and smile to begin my day.

To the Zarraonandia family,
My condolences to your family. Thomas was a very special man who enjoyed his life, his family and his art. I only knew him from his visits to the lab at Kaiser and I so admired his joy and strength. I have one of his paintings in my home and I enjoy it everyday. He will live long in my memory.
