Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC - Pen Argyl Obituary

Thomas C. Zeiner, 71, of Wind Gap, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, surrounded by his family, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Donna L. (Gheller) Zeiner, together they celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary, November 15, 2024.

Born in Bethlehem, March 23, 1954, he was the son of the late Carl and Betty (Werner) Zeiner.

Tom was a 1972 graduate of Nazareth High School and was the current owner of Moore Tire Center, Bath, PA, since 1970.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, where he served for many years as an usher.

He enjoyed vacationing at his homes in Bradford County and Surfside Beach, SC. Fishing and four-wheeling were highlights on the mountain. Tom liked to relax with a few beers while grilling for friends. In addition to soaking up the sun on the beach, he could be seen riding around in his golf cart. Many of these memories were shared with his best friend of 57 years, Charlie and Tina Chumas of South Carolina.

He was an avid dirt track racer for over 15 years. Tom was a four-time late model feature winner at Flemington Speedway. He was also a mult-feature winner at Nazareth Speedway. His passion and devotion for racing was passed on to his son and grandsons. In his later years he developed a passion for restoring antique Triumph Motorcycles and Street Rods.

In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by a son Zane T. Zeiner and his wife Camille of Bath, a daughter, Sarah E. Bierman and her husband Jake of Bath, three grandchildren, Gunnar Zeiner, and Jacob “JT” and Tristan Bierman, a sister, Joan Flyte, wife of the late Keith of Nazareth, two brothers, Jack Zeiner and his wife Darlene and Donald Zeiner, husband of the late Rose, all of Bath, a brother in law, Peter F. Gheller and his wife Kathy of Bangor, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11 AM, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be viewing hours, Tuesday evening beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Not sure what to say?

Our sincerest condolences to all of the Zeiner family. Tom was truly a great guy. I always enjoyed delivering parts to Moore Tire. We always had something to talk about. Especially the good old days reminiscing about Hilltop. I never knew until Tom told me that his father painted my dad's first billboard sign for Hilltop on the top of Cherry Hill. What a memory. Tom you will be missed by many people. May you rest in peace.

What a great guy. Always a smile and a hows it goin? I'll never forget the time (late 70's) super bad snowstorm Rt.248 was one lane at a lot of spots. My Jeep broke down near Seemsville. The weather was so bad AAA wasn't even answering the phone at the time, I had no way to get home. I called the Tire Center and Tom said " I can come and get you but I'll have to tow you with a chain." I said OK and him and his Father Carl came in the orange GMC 4 wheel drive pick-up and got us and towed us...
