Our family has known Thurl for years. He was a gentle soul who enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, and simple pleasures. He was a hard worker, and a loyal friend. I'll never forget when he used to come visit our family at our farm when our children were young. Once he brought hats with radios installed, and gave one to each child.
