I was introduced to Tia when she was still in grade school by her cousin Douglas Smith, who I married. She was one of the sweetest and very polite little girl. Tia and Tammy were a pleasure to be around. They loved cousin Doug and would always come over Aunt Sis when we came to town. It was fun talking and laughing with them, just had enjoyable time. I had not seen her since Doug’s home going in 1998.

Life gives us daily reminders to be kind to one another. Tia was an example of someone who no matter what was going on in her personal life took time to be kind to me. When hearing of her passing, my first thought of course were of her children. My second was to be grateful for the many years of being friendly to me even at times when I didn't deserve that level of kindness. RIP Tia. May God be with your family during this difficult time. Love, your cousin. Scott
