My sister Mieke Boorsma was a friend of Tieke's I used to go to Tieke's and Rudy's house when she did my sister's hair - she was a beautiful lady full of joy and laughter. We also immigrated from the Netherlands so we shared many stories and food. Condolence to the family.

Tieke's was THE place to get your hair done for prom or home coming during the 60's if you went to Kentwood HS! Remembering those French Curls and all the ambiance of sitting there letting her and her staff make your hair beautiful! Condolences to her family. Kentwood class of 1965.

Tieke coming to Wurzsburgs Beauty Salon for her job interview in 1957 after coming to Grand Rapids with husband Rudy from the Netherlands. This began our 66 + yr friendship. Miss her .
