My introduction to Tillie was during her years in the Junior League of
Jacksonville, as I applied for funding of Youth Crisis Center. Over the years, we continued to work together on projects, culminating with Tillie becoming my lobbyist while employed with Holland & Knight.In fact, the day she went home to be with the Lord, we were scheduled to meet in D.C. To the Fowlers and to Kathy
Tillie was president of the Theta chapter at Emory when I pledged, so I knew her personally only a few months. I never forgot her. She set such a wonderful example in every positive way, even at such a young age. I learned of her entry into congress from a mutual friend from The World Affairs Council and was so very proud of Tillie. The next news I heard was that she was gone and I was and am so saddened.
