Coach was the best! Coach hired me at Tjs sports bar and offered me a job at stones when Tjs unfortunately closed down. Coach brought people of all differences together. He made everyone come together & have a great time. Coach was very laid back, hard working, funny, generous, smart & talented man.. he knew everyone & everywhere. Everybody loved him. Coach took a chance on me, fought for me, and initially helped me grown into the woman I am today. Gave me the opportunity of a life time...

I googled Tim's name for some reason and to my surprise the picture Gary Titmarsh submitted appeared . I am the other team mascot at the lower right and my dad , Ted Taylor , upper right was the coach of that London team . I followed Tim's NHL career as I skated with him at practice . I attended a Leaf game and made a sign ' Ecclestone will extinguish the Flames ' ( he was playing for T.O. then ) . I sent him the sign but don't know if he ever received it . RIP Tim .

You were the best Tim. I loved working for you at sport rock in sandy springs 1988. Time Flys. Rest easy Coach. You will be missed.

Was watching the Leafs game this afternoon (Dec 31), and was saddened to see that Tim had passed away. A little background, my father, Don Titmarsh (far left in the picture), coached Timmy when he played his minor hockey in London, Ontario. That´s me as 7 (?) year old in front in the left. I was related to Tim in some way. My side of the family imigrated to St. Catherins, Onterio. I played a lot of hockey when I was younger and played at Olympia for the Junior Red Wings in a championship game ln 1957. Tim was a mintor of mine and Influenced my athletic career. Although I never met him, I fallowed his career as a Redwing when he played for Detroit. His iconic career was played with Integrity. It is with deep sadness that I learned of Tim Ecclestone`s passing. I have a lot of great memories through the years of Tim and Sue. Too many to share here. Many thoughts and prayers to his children, family and a plethora of friends and fans. Sincerely, Lou Walker organist for the Atlanta flames.

I remember Tim so many years ago from high school at Richview Collegiate in Etobicoke. He was always such a pleasant young man and very modest about his ability in hockey. I also remember his late wife Susan as we both figure skated at Michael Kirby's skating school and since she also attended Richview C I. I did see Tim play at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto once. I believe he was with the Flames then. My sincere condolences to his children, grandchild and friends.
