My deepest sympathy to Sue and the Vaughn family. I grew up with Tim in S.W. Rochester where we shared common experiences in Boy Scouts, high school football, as well as the same birthday. During the crazy 'West Bank days'of the late sixties, I spent a lot of time with Tim in the attic apartment just off Cedar Avenue where he introduced me to the music of both Fats Waller and Shostakovich. During the eighties Tim biked over in the cold of winter to play tennis with me under the Nicollet...

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned of Tim's passing. I worked with Tim when he started at Medtronic over 30 years ago. It was obvious that Tim had an insatiable curiosity, he was very intelligent, always continued to learn and willingly shared his knowledge with others. He will be very much missed by his many friends and coworkers at Medtronic.

We will miss your impish smile, your unconventional views, your boundless enthusiasm for new adventures and experiences, your keen and colorful recollections of life on the West Bank in the 60s and 70s, and, more than anything else, the pleasure of your company. What a wonderful and loving man! You reached out graciously to all, friend and stranger alike. It’s not true that we sought your company for golf, squash, or handball because we knew we could beat you, and winning...

Tim, you were a real gift. The finest of human beings we have ever known: gently noble, sparkling merriment and enthusiasm, boundless warmth and caring, deep compassion for the suffering and pain of others, never placing yourself or your needs before others, loving affirmation given to all who spoke with you, wonderful wonderful joy for all of life, and the finest of friends one could ever dream of having. In place of great pain and loss, Jon and I will strive as hard as possible to focus...

I worked with Tim for 3 years and learned more about both work and life from him in those 3 years than at any other time in my life. Tim was everything I've always aspired to be - kind, funny, easy-going, incredibly smart and wiser than his years. Tim you will be sadly missed.

I have known Tim for 60 years, he & I were in photos both in diapers. Louie & Moon were our neighbors. Louie & Dad both worked at the Mayo Clinic & were in the war together. Tim and the 3 boys were a hoot! I recall when Louie & Moon were off on a holiday, the boys dug a hole, and called the cement redi-mix truck, this crossed their lawn ( digging quite a ditch ) and they poured a pool for all their water borne critters. Tim was a kind & gentle man. I shall miss him.

Tim,
You are deeply missed. I'm so grateful to have known you since about 3rd grade. Countless hours we have spent, the four of us, through the last twenty - seven years or so, over dinner, at movies,on bikes, enjoying life together. I will find you many places as I wander through the years - in a certain wry humor, a sparkle in the eyes, a kindness towards animals, a love of fishing, in every small town cafe I stop for coffee, you'll be there.
We'll stick close to...
