CLOSED-Harvey Family Funeral Home Obituary

Tim, "Chips" Lane of Seattle, Washington, age 60, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Mother Rose and Father Bob, aka Kahuna on Wednesday morning October 27, 2021.

Chips was born and raised in the Mount Baker neighborhood of Seattle where he attended St. Edwards grade school and graduated from O'Dea High School. Chips had an adventurous streak and was always up for some fun/crazy shenanigans. The photo associated with his obituary is of him climbing the Olympic Hotel in Downtown Seattle to get a better view of the Parade after the Seattle Super Sonics won the Championship in 1979.

Chips enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, playing the ponies at Longacres race track, Seafair, the Blue Angels and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Chips was in a terrible car accident when he was twenty years old which left him unable to walk or talk. He could express himself with a quick smile in his eyes accompanied by a grin and a wave.

Chips is survived by his brother Kevin, (Lori); nephew/twins Max and Jake Lane; sister Theresa Lane Schmetzer; niece Daniela; grand nieces Uma and Zio; nephews Colin and Kian Schmetzer; brother Shawn Lane;  sister Sheila Lane; nephew/twins, Finn & Dash; his brother Bobby Lane; and niece Taylor.

Not sure what to say?

Chips was an incredible Allie in many times of need going to O'Dea. May he rest at peace

Walter

All memories with Chips never boring and all fun including Tri-cities boat races and Seafair on Lake Washington. Sympathy to a wonderful family that lost a great one too soon.

On behalf of the Nova family, our sincere condolences and prayers go out to the Lane family.
Such fond memories of Tim from St. Edwards, I'll always remember the Lane family gatherings during SeaFair. Always ready for adventure, Tim set the bar very high. His easy smile, laugh and thoughtful expression are what I'll miss the most. Rest in peace Tim.
