I just came back from the Memorial Service at Clark Atlanta University. I was a friend of Timothy Askew and also a collegue in the department. I have been sad since his passing, but I can say that he was the kindest person I have ever met. I would often visit him in his office where many of his students were there having come to say hello, chat and just be loved and cherished by a professor who was so much more than just a faculty member.
