Timothy Batchelder, M.D.

Timothy Batchelder, M.D. left us peacefully and with dignity at the young age of 67, just before sunrise on a cloudy January morning. The oldest of 3 children, Tim was raised in rural Oregon, in a humble home his mechanic-father built by hand. While material goods...

Not sure what to say?

A wonderfully kind medical classmate and mensch, blessed to be well remembered via the vital Maven Project that he helped Laurie Green to create.

My deepest sympathy to Dr Batchelder's family. He was my Aunts eye Doctor for many years. We always knew we were in the best of hands & care with him.

Tim, April 2016

Tim was one of the finest people I have every known. He was a man of so many virtues. Perhaps chief among which were integrity, compassion, courage and generosity. He was deeply committed to doing the right thing and was dedicated with his whole heart and soul to improving the well-being of others.

For the many years we worked together, Tim always ended our meetings with his own sincere expression of gratitude. "Thank you for the things you do", he would say.

I transferred from Kaiser Oakland to Kaiser Richmond when we reopened it in 1999. Dr Batchelder was the kindest man. He sincerely cared for everyone that was part of our special Richmond family. Every day he would walk through the hospital and make sure us nurses were OK. Later, I transferred to the surgery area and worked closely with him. He loved his patients and showed such caring and kindness. It was a sad day when he retired because I knew kaiser Richmond would never be the same.....

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow.
Much Love Marilyn and Family

My sincere condolences to your family. May God "who comforts us in all our trials" (2 Cor 1:4) comfort you and your family at such a difficult time. I know God will help you to endure because he cares for you (1Peter 5 :7).

Tim preceded me by a year in ophthalmology residency and thus was a mentor of sorts. I remember him as being soft-spoken and thoughtful, generous of spirit, and very bright. It saddens me to think that such depth of character has departed us too soon. With respect and admiration.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this sad news. Condolences to all the family.

Dr. Timothy Batchelder was indeed a great man full of kindness, love, and care. My prayers to the family.

Rest In Peace.
