Not sure what to say?

Mother Tim Bowie had a beautiful smile and a sweet, sweet spirit about her that would just make you feel good and very special when you were in her presence. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us laughing all the time during Note Choir rehearsal - so much so that the sopranos came close to being placed in time out by Sister Wendy almost every Tuesday evening! I just loved her so much, and I consider it a blessing and priviledge to have known her. She leaves a wonderful legacy of...

Mrs. Bowie is now happily reunited with her father, Rev. T.H. George, her mother, Mrs. T.H. George, her brothers, Rev. D.T. George and Mr. Chicken George, her sisters Mrs. Terry West and Mrs,. Sarah Hammonds, her husband Deacon Lemuel Bowie and many other Antioch Soldiers.

She lived a full and abundant life of loving, sharing, singing, serving and giving.

We will miss her on this side of the River but Heaven is rejoicung with the new Lyric Soprano in the Heavenly Choir as she...

Ms. Bowie had a smile that could light up any room, and at one of the most difficult times in the lives of our family she used that smile to offer her comfort. If her family can cherish the memory of her kindness to others maybe it will comfort them in this hour, for I know she has reached that Bright Side she sang about!

I have always admired Mrs. Bowie. My mother must have had a lot of respect for her in how she raised Angel and George. If I wanted to go some place with my Mom being so strict, if I mentioned that Mrs. Bowie (Mrs. Stewart back then)was letting Angel go, she would say go ahead then. Like one of the other guest, I really looked forward to hearing her sing "Yield Not Unto Temptation". As previously said, she could really hit that high note.

Mrs.Bowie will certainly be missed by me.I always looked forward to November 4 every year,we would celebrate our birthday together. This is the first year that I will not be able to celebrate with her. But I know she is going to have a grand time in Heaven. Mrs. Bowie, rest in peace until we meet again!

I am truly happy that Mrs. Bowie was a part of my life. I first remember her as my Sunday School Teacher in the primary department. She was always kind but very sincere in teaching what ws right. She was always encouraging and lifted you to the next level.

I could also hardly wait hear Mrs. Bowie sing with Choir Number 1 on the third Sunday afternoon for Communion Service. As a child, one song that I remember was "Yield Not to Temptation." I would wait to hear her reach, "OH you...

Mrs. Bowie was a person with the personality and a smile that you will never forget. Mrs. Bowie has touched so many hearts in a special way. When me and my brothers would come to Atlanta to visit my grandparents (Jessie Glover) I would always remember Mrs. Bowie ringing the bell to end Sunday School. Keep on ringing that bell in Heaven until we meet again. May God continue to bless the George family and remember their is a light shining on the other side.

Angel and Family,

Your mother touched my life in so many different ways it would take the rest of my lifetime to express my feelings for such a wonderful and beautiful person. Ms. Bowie was one of the first person that I encountered when I joined Antioch. I joined the culinary committee and she would show me how to mix the salad ingredients together and place the salad on the salad plates. I remember how she told me if I did this right how I could move up to the real cooking. She was...
