Not sure what to say?

Mr. Cerutti was my 6th grade teacher at Mt. Hope Elementary school in O'Fallon MO, 78'-79'. Along with Mr. Bradley, the other 6th grade teacher, I never knew two more popular teachers in my life. I always wondered where Mr. Cerutti went once he was no longer at Mt. Hope and how he was doing. I wish I searched sooner, as I would have liked to see him one more time. Jim Stinson FZ class 1985

Prayers and condolences to the Cerutti family. I am very sad to hear the news. Mr. C was my 6th grade teacher at Green Trails awesome person, and humble spirit, and had compassion for each student. He will always be in my heart as a teacher that changed the outlook of my life just by his kind actions, and his infectious laugher and smile. RIP Mr. C. Robin Former GT student

Mr Cervtti was my teacherin 6th grade 1980-81 class--my favorite teacher. He not only taught school, but also taught life long lessons. The Princess Bride is still my favorite book, not because of the story, but because it reminds me of Mr Cervtti and the lessons he taught. Mr Cervtti made the world a better place.

I was Tim's student in his first year at Green Trails. No one knew what to expect from the "new teacher" but his skill, leadership, infectious energy and caring were apparent from day one. The year I spent in Tim's 6th grade classroom opened a new world to me because he dared us to dream. He remains one of the greatest influences in my life and I still think of him many decades later. I recall that he wrote in my yearbook that he was privileged to teach me, when in reality it was our greatest...

We have so much respect for Mr Cerutti. He was fair, principled, and caring. Miss his infectious smile. A favorite teacher.

I was lucky enough to have Mr. Cerutti as my sixth grade teacher at Green Trails School in 1981. The books he introduced us to-The Princess Bride, Watership Down, The Hobbit, Where the Red Fern Grows-and the way he read from, them was magical. He was also an incredible sports instructor in the after school programs he ran. I can still remember him asking teams before a game began to call head´s or tails to decide who started with the ball or batted first. He never had a coin-you just...

Mr Cerutti was my 6th grade teacher at Green Trails. Such an inadequate statement for conveying the impact he has had on my lifelong intellectual curiosity. He stands out among amazing educators I´ve been blessed to experience - Joe Nye and Simon Schama at Harvard, Lester Thurow at MIT, to name a few. He was the best kind of teacher - not because he knew everything, but because he wanted us to know everything, all the things. He taught us pre-algebra in 6th grade. He read us The Hobbit. He...

His random acts of kindness have always stuck with me and he was a wonderful teacher to my daughter. Best wishes on the next journey.

I'm a parent of a student from Green Trails and Parkway Central. Mr. Cerutti was such a wonderful, caring teacher that I will always remember him. I volunteered and the school and had hoped that he would be my son's teacher. When the did the middle school split that was not possible, but he remembered the students from Green Trails and was still there for them. I remember him helping my son, who was not one of his students, but he cared for all the students. He was available to help...
